Cookie Policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, work in a similar way. We call them all “cookies” here. This policy explains the cookies used by Frostleaf LLP on this website, in the Zonify app, and by the Zonify script on merchants’ storefronts. Read it with our Privacy Policy.

2. Cookies on this website

If analytics is switched on for our live website, Google Analytics sets these cookies:

CookieProviderPurposeDuration
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes visitors so we can count visits.Up to 2 years
_ga_*Google AnalyticsKeeps track of the current visit and pages viewed.Up to 2 years

They tell us which pages are useful and how people find us. Google processes this data as described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.

3. Cookies in the app

Zonify runs inside your Shopify admin. It uses essential cookies and session tokens provided through Shopify to keep you signed in securely and to make the app work. These are necessary for the app and cannot be switched off. Shopify’s own cookies in the Shopify admin are covered by Shopify’s policies.

4. Browser storage on merchants’ storefronts

The Zonify script that runs on a merchant’s storefront sets no cookies. It uses the browser’s session storage and local storage for the items below, which are needed to apply the merchant’s rules and to group page views into visits:

NameTypePurposeDuration
bc_sessionSession storageA random identifier that groups page views into one visit.Until the tab is closed
bc_session_startSession storageWhen the visit started, to work out how long it lasted.Until the tab is closed
bc_page_viewsSession storageHow many pages the visit has covered.Until the tab is closed
bc_error_reportedSession storageSet only if a check fails, so the problem is reported once per visit.Until the tab is closed
bc_blockedLocal storageSet only for a blocked Visitor: the time and the message, so the block shows straight away on the next page.Up to 24 hours, or until a check allows the Visitor

Merchants should mention this storage in their own store’s privacy or cookie notice.

5. Controlling cookies

  • You can block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the app from working.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

6. Changes and contact

We will update this policy if we change the cookies or browser storage we use, and change the date at the top.
